We know how important it is to protect and take a good care of your personal data. Here you can find information about what data we collect, how we store and process it, and what you can do should you wish to see your data or have it changed or removed from our system.
WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
a. If you expressed the wish to receive our email newsletters and subscribed via the subscription form on this website, we collect just your email address.
b. If you participated in or booked for any of our events then we collect information you provided to us when registering, usually first name, last name, email address, physical address, phone number, and in what event you participated.
WHY WE COLLECT YOUR DATA
a. We like to stay in touch with you via our newsletters. For this reason we keep your email address.
b. We use your physical address in the event that we want to mail you the annual Art of Being brochure or a special event flyer.
c. We also like to keep statistics solely for our own purpose, e.g. to know how many people graduated from the various Art of Being trainings or how many people participated in a particular workshop. We therefore keep information about which events you participated in.
d. If we have collected your phone number we keep it just for the rare occasion that we might need to get in touch with you quickly, e.g. to invite you to assist in an event or to arrange car-share with other participants.
e. Keeping information about workshop participants is also necessary to us in order to provide Art of Being services.
HOW WE STORE AND PROCESS YOUR DATA
a. We store collected data in our internal computer systems (The Art of Being office) where only a limited number of people can access it.
b. We provide collected data to our organisers who use it exclusively for providing services connect with The Art of Being.
c. In order to send you Art of Being newsletters (usually every one to two months) your data is forwarded to MailChimp, our email newsletters distributor. MailChimp is a third party data processing entity based in the USA and fully compliant with EU data protection legislation. If in the future we choose to use a different email marketing services provider we will assure that the new provider has appropriate privacy policy and complies with EU data protection legislation.
d. We keep your data in our system for 10 years from your last participation in an Art of Being event; then it is deleted.
